In my current state of illness, walking to the kitchen seems really hard to me. Despite that, I think you can do this!!
If you can fart around with all that bike equipment and ride from Chula Vista to Sorrento Valley and back almost everyday, a marathon, from a discipline perspective, should be like blowing your nose. However, you might want to, and I’m sure you will, read up on training strategies for such an event. How much time to prepare, amount of mileage, type of mileage, realistic goal time, avoiding over- or under-training etc.
